For the longest time I tried to keep a journal. At first, the journal had daily entries and then slowly it became weekly entries and then monthly and then…just collecting dust in my drawer. It was not like I didn’t have stuff to write down. I mean there is always something to write down right?! It could be thoughts on something, a joke I heard today from friend or co-worker, a really cool website or blog that I came across, or even a recipe on the Food Network Channel. Yes, I do watch it and I am not ashamed to admit it. I am a better cook because of that channel. Thank you Paula Dean (more butter, please), Rachel Ray (YUMMO!), and of course Giada De Laurentiis (I love the way she says “parmigiano-reggiano,” grr…). Sorry, I digress.
I think the reason why I have such an off and on relationship with journals is because I am not very good at writing. It takes me forever to write something that might just take someone minutes and this would make me lose interest. I definitely don’t want this translate into my blogging. I don’t want this blog to collect cyber-dust on the internet because I can’t write well. I want this blog to be a lively blog that readers will enjoy. So my goal is to practice, practice, practice on my writing skills and to at least post several entries a week, every week. I know this is going to be very hard but I am always up for a good challenge.
Anyhow, that is my thought for the day. I leave you with some funny cartoons about blogging.
