Welcome to my blog and to my first ‘official’ blog entry. I will be blogging about my journey of starting my own photography business and my life in general. Please enjoy, share your thoughts with me, tell your friends and family and here goes…
Who knew that there are so many things I have to do to start a photography business: getting equipment, branding myself, finding clients, eating, sleeping,…it seems like an endless list. Well, I am slowly checking off some the items from that list and one of the items I checked off was my business cards. It took me a couple months to find the type of business card I wanted along with designing my logo. I knew my creative side would not let me settle for the Office Depot, Avery brand, DIY business cards. I was looking for something different and simple and eventually settled for a letter-pressed type business card. I want to thank Travis Friedrich from Parklife Press for the amazing job he did on my business card. The cards look amazing and they are exactly how I pictured them. My sister, Nhi, was the one who recommended Travis and Parklife Press to me. She had used Parklife Press before for her wedding stationary and has very high praises for them and their beautiful work. She recentlly had Parklife Press help her with her photography business cards. Thank you again Travis for your incredible work and for making the whole process as easy as possible. I truly do recommend contacting Travis and Parklife Press if you are ever in need of letterpress stationary.
Another item from the list is this blog that you are looking at. After many sleepless nights, gallons of sweat and tears, hours of coding and many more hours of debugging and finessing, I have a workable blog that I am happy with. I am not a web designer by any means, but I do know enough coding to design this one. As you visit the blog later on, you might see changes to it as I am always looking for ways to improve on the design. I am now debating if I want to take on the task of building my own website. I have a design in mind and just am trying to find the time to create it. I might eventually just settle and let someone design it for me, who knows. Either way, if I decide to design my own or ask someone to do it, the website is another item of many I would love check off.
Anyhow, love to write more, but I need to get some more items off my list. Please comeback and visit (bookmark and/or RSS me) as I will be posting more pictures for you along with how my new career is going. Take care.
