Nothing much to say here in this post, just wanting to post some shots I took today after one of Austin’s crazy storms.
This shot was right after the storm passed by. Notice the double rainbow.

Trying out my macro below and liking the flare coming from the raindrop.

I think as photographers, the one thing that is always on our minds is the weather. We hope that it is not too cloudy or too sunny. We pray that it does not rain or snow (though sometimes I think that is cool). And of course, we do not want it too hot or too cold. Well for Sarah & Neal’s engagement session we got lots of clouds, a little rain, and the freezing cold. What a great [bad] combination, but Sarah & Neal were troopers for going forward with the shoot. Though it was cold and though I regretted wearing a very thin jacket (what was I thinking?!), we all had a great time smiling and making the best of the situation.
Sarah and Neal are both Texas natives and met through friends at Texas A&M. They were very fun to shoot and are very comfortable with each other. They smiled, told jokes and finished each other’s sentences through out the shoot. They were both naturals in front of the camera and you can tell the cold weather was not bothering them when they were in each other’s arms. Sarah & Neal, thank you for being great sports and telling me your stories. I wish you two only the best in the future.
I especially have to thank Tara for inviting me to second shoot with her in Burnett and for introducing me to makeup artist, Rouchelle from Beautiful Reflections. I had a great time, had fun, and learned a lot from you.
Here are some pictures of the shoot below, please go to Tara’s blog for more pictures. Take care everyone.

I know WPPI 2009 is over, but here are some pictures of a shoot I did at Red Rock Canyon with some pretty amazing photographers and models. First of all I want to say thank you to Ryan Christensen who put the shoot together for us photographers (BTW Ryan just had a baby girl today so shoot over to his blog so say congratulations). I also want to say thank you to Laura Marchbanks for getting the models for the shoot. And lastly, thank you to the models (Kimberly & Jake, Anesia, Jackie and Jasmine) for bearing the cold desert weather for us photographers. You guys are all amazing.
I had an absolute blast at the shoot. Like I said before, it was my first time to WPPI and this was a great way to start it out. I look forward to seeing all the great photographers I met at WPPI next year and hopefully we can do another fun and crazy shoot. Take care everyone.
